The charming décor definitely sets the right mood, with impressive flowers adding to the overall aesthetic. Breakfast offerings were top-notch, featuring creative dishes and homemade options that make for a delightful start to the day.
One downside was the bathroom situation, lacking its own heat, which could make it uncomfortable during colder months. Additionally, some noise from adjacent rooms was noticeable, slightly detracting from the peace and quiet expected at a B&B.

The Parsonage Inn offered a delightful stay with enchanting Victorian decor setting a warm tone. Breakfast was a highlight—Rex truly has a gift for creating mouthwatering, homemade dishes, including some of the best cinnamon buns I've ever had. I appreciated the 24-hour coffee and tea bar with complimentary cookies, which added a cozy touch to my experience. However, the rooms lacked proper sound insulation. I could hear guests in adjacent rooms quite clearly, which disturbed my peace at times. A bit of privacy would certainly enhance the stay. Despite that, the atmosphere was inviting, and Rex’s welcoming demeanor made my visit memorable.

Curiosity got me

That said, noise levels from the street could be disruptive, but overall, the experience was enjoyable for a weekend getaway.

Charming Victorian decor, complimentary bicycles for exploring, luxury private bathrooms
Noise levels from the street!!! Housekeeping standards need consistency, with trash sometimes left unemptied. The furnishings also feel dated and should really be refreshed to match expectations.

The three-course gourmet breakfasts were a true highlight, with flavors that catered to diverse palates, including an amazing crab dish.
The walls were quite thin, making it easy to hear conversations and sounds from neighboring rooms, which affected privacy.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway
The breakfasts were excellent! Especially the banana waffles with homemade caramel sauce that made even a banana-hater like me gobble them up. Plus, I loved having a relaxing tea time with homemade cookies after our walks.
It wasn't cheap, but certainly manageable for what you get.

I stayed in Parson's Study, and it was super comfy! The bed was really cozy and the room felt spacious. I loved the fireplace too. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Plus, there were great touches like the snacks available in the common area, which made it feel more like home. Can't wait to go back when it’s cooler to enjoy that fireplace again!
